2006 Scholarship Program
General Information:
ISSA Central Ohio will be giving away seven scholarship awards in 2006. This is the result of incredible support of our members in 2005 in our training programs, meetings, and other activities.
The seven scholarships are broken down into 3 scholarships for $2,000 and 4 scholarships of $1,000. To qualify for these scholarships, you must write a paper of 10-20 pages in length, and submit it to the ISSA Scholarship Committee. Please read the application information for complete details regarding the scholarships. The Application Form is downloadable in PDF form.
In addition to the scholarship document, we will add to this list of questions and answers that are asked of the scholarship committee on this web page from time to time. It might be a good idea to check back occasionally.
Q: When are the papers due?
A: The papers are due by June 1, 2006. This will give the Scholarship Committee time to select the scholarship winners.
Q: When will the Scholarships be awarded?
A: The Scholarship Award Ceremony will be performed at the regular ISSA Central Ohio Membership Meeting on or about August 16, 2006.
Q: How will the Scholarships be awarded?
A: If you are selected to receive a scholarship, a check in the amount of the award will be sent to your institution in your name to be used for tuition and fees.
Q: I’m studying at a foreign institution. Can you convert the funds to funds that my institution will accept?
A: The awards will be awarded only to an accredited US institution.
Q: Do I need to be a member of ISSA to qualify?
A: Yes, you need to be a member of ISSA Central Ohio Chapter at the time of award to qualify for the Scholarship Program. You may be a regular chapter member, or a student chapter member to qualify.
