We are proud to announce the following distinguished speakers:
Gary Palgon – VP Product Management for nuBridges
Speaker topic: Leveraging PCI DSS Best Practices to Protect PII
If your organization handles credit card transactions, you have likely made sizable investments in complying with the PCI DSS. But credit card numbers are probably not the only sensitive data that you store. Data such as Social Security numbers, birth dates, account numbers, etc. also must be protected from security breaches. State and pending Federal breach laws are adopting increasingly severe fines and penalties when breaches occur.
What if you could leverage the investment you have already made in becoming PCI compliant and protect your PII as well? If your company does not currently accept credit cards, but does store other sensitive data, you can benefit from the lessons learned from organizations’ PCI DSS compliance initiatives.
Jeffery J. Sweet – CISSP, ITIL, CSE Senior Security and Compliance Specialist
Speaker topic: (ISC)2 Safe and Secure online program
Jeff will talk about this program that educates school age children how to safely use the internet and provide additional information about tools that can help parents manage content that their children access.
Rudy Piekarski
Speaker topic: Managing Mobile Devices Working Outside In Rather Than Inside Out
Rudy Piekarski has been in the IT field for over 13 years. His background has revolved around security, network, infrastructure, and business intelligence hardware and software. Organizations such as CompuServe, Entercept, Blue Coat, and Riverbed have provided him with numerous opportunities to assist corporations in building greater IT solutions for their companies.
